Chocky Dev

Chocky Dev: useful apps and games

Five Android apps: two card games, a score keeper for Mölkky, a document scanner, and accounting for the self-employed. All of them are free to download. Each does one thing and does it all the way through.

The apps

The five Chocky Dev apps, compared

Two board games, with a third on the way

Mölkky Score keeps score for your Mölkky games so you do not have to. The three-miss rule and the drop back to 25 after overshooting apply by themselves, knockout tournaments take a few taps to set up, and an ELO ranking accounts for how strong your opponents actually were. Scoring, tournaments and history all work offline, with no sign-up.

Papayoo inverts the usual logic of a card game: the player with the fewest points wins. So you spend the game avoiding Payoos, and above all the Papayoo, worth 40 on its own. Play solo against four levels of bots, from Easy to Expert, or online with friends. The complete rules ship inside the app.

Mojogo will bring two games together in one app: Mojo, where the round ends as soon as a player reaches 50 and the lowest score wins, and Jungo, a game of combinations. It is not on Google Play yet.

Two tools for everyday use

ScanFree scans a document with the camera, finds its edges, straightens the perspective and exports a PDF. Handwritten signature, annotations, reorderable pages, black-and-white and greyscale filters. What sets it apart fits in one line: it requests no Android permission at all and creates no account, because every step happens on the phone.

EasyCompta keeps the income ledger and purchase register that a French micro-entrepreneur is required to hold, estimates URSSAF contributions for the activity type, and shows real profit after contributions — not just revenue. No bank connection, no data sent to a server. A free web version lets you try it without installing anything.

What stays the same across all five

Four of the five apps have no subscription at all: Mölkky Score and ScanFree are free, and Papayoo and Mojogo unlock through a one-time purchase. EasyCompta is the only one that offers a subscription, and only for its advanced analytics and exports — keeping the income ledger stays free and unlimited.

Data stays on the device wherever that is possible, which covers four of the five apps — the fifth only leaves the phone for online matches. And each app’s scope stays deliberately narrow: a score keeper does not grow into a social network, and a scanner does not grow into a cloud service.

Frequently asked questions

Are the Chocky Dev apps free?
All of them are free to download. Mölkky Score is simply free. So is ScanFree, funded by a rewarded video at export time, with no paid version at all. Papayoo is ad-funded, with a one-time Premium purchase that removes the ads. EasyCompta is the only one with a subscription, and it covers only the advanced analytics and exports: keeping the income ledger itself stays free and unlimited.
Do I need an account to use them?
Not for Mölkky Score, ScanFree or EasyCompta: they work without signing up and their data stays on the device. Papayoo and Mojogo only need a profile for online play; their solo modes work without an account.
Which platforms do these apps run on?
Android, through Google Play. Papayoo and ScanFree are also on the Apple App Store; Mölkky Score and Mojogo are awaiting approval. EasyCompta also has a free web version that runs in the browser with nothing to install.
